BlockBid

About BlockBid

Ten slots. One block.

BlockBid is a public leaderboard for products, projects and useful corners of the web. There is no sign-up, profile or internal balance. Paste a URL, pay with USDC, and the confirmed amount is added to that URL.

The Block and the Mempool

The top ten URLs fill the block and are drawn as stacked slabs, each as wide as its share of the leading lifetime total. Listings outside the top ten appear in the Mempool until their rank reaches the Block. Block and Mempool are visual metaphors. The Mempool does not show pending Base transactions.

Rented, not bought

Rank is decided by how much a URL has paid recently. A payment’s pull on the ranking halves every 3 days, so a slot is rented rather than owned: no single payment holds the top forever, and a URL that stops paying drifts down while newer payments pass it. Anyone can add a payment to any URL, and every confirmed top-up moves it back up. If two scores match, the URL that reached it first stays ahead.

What you keep

Decay applies to ranking only. Every USDC a URL has ever paid stays on its lifetime total — the USDC figure shown against it — which never decreases and cannot be outbid. The block is what you rent; that number is what you keep.

Why USDC on Base

One stable asset keeps the amount understandable and removes price-conversion surprises. Base Pay opens a one-tap USDC approval. The server confirms the transaction, amount, and recipient before the board changes.
