Rules
Clear before you pay.
- 01
Recent payment decides rank
Active URLs sort by how much they have paid recently, highest first. A payment's pull on the ranking halves every 3 days, so a slot is rented rather than bought and no single payment holds one indefinitely. A URL that reaches a tied score first remains ahead.
- 02
Lifetime totals are permanent
Decay applies to ranking only. The USDC figure shown against a URL is everything it has ever paid. That total never decreases and cannot be outbid, whatever happens to its rank.
- 03
10 slots make the Block
Ranks 1 to 10 are in the Block. Listings outside the top 10 appear in the Mempool until their rank reaches the Block. Block and Mempool are visual metaphors. The Mempool does not show pending Base transactions.
- 04
Clicks are measured, not ranked
Outbound clicks are counted server-side and shown on the board, and they feed the trending panel. They never change a rank: only confirmed payments do.
- 05
The URL is the identity
Tracking parameters and fragments are removed before matching. Payments to the same canonical URL accumulate on one row.
- 06
Five USDC to start
A URL needs at least 5 USDC for its first payment. Existing URLs can be topped up from 1 USDC.
- 07
Only confirmed payments count
Opening or dismissing Base Pay never changes a rank. BlockBid credits only a completed payment with the expected amount and recipient.
- 08
Payments cannot be reused
Each transaction ID may credit one payment request only. Retrying the same confirmed request returns the same result without adding money twice.
- 09
Placement is not refundable
A payment purchases placement on the board at the rank it earns, for as long as that payment outranks others. Later payments and ordinary decay may move other URLs ahead.
- 10
Links must be safe
Malware, wallet drainers, impersonation, illegal content and intentionally deceptive destinations can be removed without refund. This covers the title and description read from the linked page, which are shown as written by that site.
- 11
No investment promise
A BlockBid payment is payment for public placement. It does not create ownership, yield, a token, or an expectation of financial return.
- 12
Moderation stays possible
BlockBid may hide or remove listings to protect users, comply with law, or keep the board useful.
